Win at Musselburgh gives David Pipe a full house

David Pipe’s Hunterview

It’s a long old road from Somerset to Musselburgh but Hunterview made the journey worthwhile for David Pipe by taking the John Smiths Scottish County Handicap Hurdle, which gave him his first winner at the course. The victory also meant a full house of winners at all UK tracks for the Pond House trainer. The 11-4 favourite never looked in any trouble as he set a demanding gallop up front with eventual third Ultimate, then asserted from two out as Ultimate made a significant blunder.

One for the notebook from this race is European Dream, who ran on eye-catchingly to take second place. Hunterview will hold entries in both the Coral Cup and the County Hurdle at the Festival; he was introduced to the County market at 16/1 by Paddy Power betting for which the Nicky Henderson trained Aegean Dawn remains the 14/1 favourite.
David Pipe also won the concluding bumper on the card with 6/4 favourite The Tracey Shuffle.
