Road travel

Train travel
You can buy train tickets online in advance or up to three hours before you travel at www.thetrainline.com and also find out more about the extra dedicated Cheltenham Festival train services running to Cheltenham Spa from Birmingham New Street, Bristol and Derby. From Cheltenham Spa train station you can catch a taxi, the racecourse bus and a great option is to walk (or cycle) along the Honeybourne Line which takes around 40 minutes.

Buses from town
You can catch a special racecourse bus from outside WH Smith on Cheltenham High Street during The Open and The Festival. In addition, Stagecoach service D runs every 10 minutes during the day and between 10 minutes and every hour on Monday to Saturday evenings. The service runs hourly on Sundays. Service 527 also provides a regular service from Cheltenham Centre to Bishops Cleeve and Gotherington via the Racecourse roundabout. For local Stagecoach information please call 0870 6082608. A number of pubs provide mini-bus shuttle services up the racecourse.
