Backing Sue Smith runners blind at Wetherby would not be a bad ploy in itself as she always like to get on the board here. However in Swing Hard we have a very credible proposition. He has never run a bad race at the track and has slipped to a winning mark now. Importantly the drop back in trip today and at Wetherby would perhaps signify that he is ready to put his best foot forward again as he has done most of his winning at short of three miles and he seems unable to see the job out when employing his bold front running tactics over that trip. I have a feeling he will go close today.
Swing Hard led all the way and won by 6 lengths at 13/2.
A shorter price but Buttercup was advised on Wednesday in the 3.10 Haydock at 2/1 for another profitable day.
