So Young….so Cheltenham!

So Young
So Young followed up from his Leopardstown win at Christmas with an impressive five length win in the Punchestown.com Festival Offers Novices Hurdle. The 1/6 favourite was always handy then jumped the last going well in-between eventual second and third Big Game Hunter and The Pier who were off the bridle.

So Young will apparently be heading for the Neptune as Trainer Willie Mullins wants to avoid a clash with stablemate Zaidpour who will be targeted at the Supreme Novices. Plans will become clearer after Zaidpour runs in the Deloitte Hurdle at Leopardstown on Saturday. So Young is currently available at 10/1 for the Neptune while Zaidpour stands at 7/1 for the Supreme.

Also at Punchestown; Garde Champetre won his fourth race over the Banks course to take the Glenfarclas P.P Hogan Memorial Cross Country Chase. Having won the Cross Country Chase at the Cheltenham Festival twice before, he will now head back to Prestbury Park in March to try for a third victory in the race.
