Master of the Hall earns shot at RSA Chase

Master of the Hall earned himself a shot at the RSA Chase in winning the Reynoldstown Chase at Ascot. He literally coasted home by 6 lengths from Billie Magern. His main rival The Minack made an almighty blunder at the 14th fence which effectively ended his chance of winning. Master of the Hall finished 5th to Hells Bay and Medermit in the Dipper Chase over 2m5f at Cheltenham on New Year’s Day, which franks their respective Festival chances nicely. It certainly looks as though Master of the Hall is a 3 mile Chaser. In recent years the Reynoldstown has seen a resurgence in acting as a key trial for the RSA. Albertas Run won the race before his RSA victory in 2008 and last year Burton Port won the Reynoldstown en route to his second place in the RSA. Coral’s have cut Master of the Hall from 33’s to 14/1 for the RSA Chase.
