Al Co |
2014 Scottish National winner. In and out since then suggests he has plenty on his hoofs. |
Benbens |
Staying chaser. May find this all happening to quickly. Career high handicap mark. |
Bobs Worth |
Returned to form over hurdles at Aintree. Ground may prove an issue while form of that race questionable. Well-handicapped. |
Fingal Bay |
Talented horse that is prone to injury and breaking blood vessels. Well-handicapped if able to produce his best. Pulled-up (Blood vessel) when 6/1 last year off a 9lb higher mark. |
First Lieutenant |
Yet another well-handicapper chaser. Should run well though age group has a poor record. |
Fox Appeal |
Two good runs this season. Improving and should run well. |
Houblon Des Obeaux |
Consistent horse that often spoils his chance with mistakes. Strong finisher. |
If In Doubt |
Talented chaser. Should be bang there if able to iron out jumping errors that plagued him last season. Mr Geraghty in the saddle a bonus. |
Ned Stark |
Promising chaser that has claims now, he is in the handicap proper. Improvement assured and a course winner on soft ground. |
Saphir Du Rheu |
Top class hurdler that looks likely to prove equally useful over fences. Top weight on soft ground will make things difficult. Won easily at Carlisle and should confirm the form with The Young Master on 8lb worse terms. Reportedly blew a lot follwing that race and sure to have come on for that run. |
Smad Place |
Consistent horse. Showed the benefit of a breathing operation on his comeback run with n easy win at Kempton Park. Fifth last year (Seasonal reappearance) off same handicap mark. Worry over the trip in the ground. |
Splash Of Ginge |
Something to prove at the trip and on recent form. |
The Druids Nephew |
Disappointed at Wetherby over hurdles. Going well before falling in the Grand National. Seventh in the race last season off a 15lb lower mark. |
The Giant Bolster |
Well-handicapped chaser at his best. Should run well though age group has a poor record. |
The Young Master |
Should run well though something to find, despite a weight pull, with Saphir Du Rheu. Galloping track an unknown. |
Theatre Guide |
Looks outclassed. |
Urano |
Consistent handicap chaser. Up in grade and possibly best on tight tracks. |
