With Cue Card and First Lieutenant seemingly heading in the direction of the Gold Cup, the main contenders rest below them in the ratings above. Of those, and at this stage, Al Ferof fits a winner’s profile, as does Benefficient. Marito is an improving possibility along with Hidden Cyclone. Riverside Theatre won the race in 2012 (Fourth last year) though I am unsure if he is at that level of form these days. Champion Court (Fifth last year) is worthy of consideration, though he is somewhat unpredictable. Module ran well in the Jewson last year and has room for further progress having had just six runs over fences. Captain Conan has to prove he truly stays this far. Arvika Ligeonniere is perhaps not as his best at Prestbury Park while Twinlight’s jumping is a concern
